Jesus teaches us that when we feed and care for those around us in His name, we are caring for him. Our county school system provides breakfast and lunch for all children. For some children, this is the only food they receive. This means on the weekends when they aren’t in school they aren’t getting food. We saw the need in this community and we began working alongside our local elementary school to provide food on the weekends for these children.

We partner with the school, businesses, and individuals to gather food children can easily make themselves. The school identifies the children in need. Then with the parent’s permission, we send home a weekend’s worth of food every Friday with each child.
